Utility Technician

This position requires a self-motivated person familiar with Western Exterminator Company's operations. A Universal Technician is trained and able to perform most any Pest work and WDO treatments. This is an hourly paid position and the pay is higher for the individual cross trained and able to work both pest and WDO. The position is best suited for a highly skilled flexible position that wants the diversity of not working a set route.
This person needs to have a good understanding of Company policies and procedures in both Pest and WDO and consistently show the we care attitude of Western Exterminator Company. This is not a management position, but can be looked at for the person interested in moving into management as a stepping stone progressing toward a management position.
PEST DEPARTMENT
The areas of responsibilities within this grouping include:
Run vacation routes and making written evaluations of that Sales/Service Technician's organization and performance, using supplied Company forms;
Back-up for Sales/Service Technicians in times of illness or injury;
Performing Initial Services and One-Time Services;
Run routes temporary not assigned a regular Technician
Go out on sales calls and put together estimates
Other duties as specified
WDO DEPARTMENT
The areas of responsibilities within this grouping include:
Drill and treat for Drywood Termites
Drill and treat for Subterranean Termites
Trench and treat for Subterranean Termites
Helping WDO Technicians with wood replacement and other related work
Handle install and maintenance of Sentricon
Other duties as specified
We require technicians to:
Have a valid drivers license
Have a good driving record
Have current Br II and III Field Representative License in California or equivalent competency/licensing in other State
Recommend CA employee have an Agricultural License in Category A and B
Prefer at least 3 years field experience at Western Exterminator Company
Have proficient writing and verbal skills

commissions. Typically pay ranges from $2500 to $5000/month.
