We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Process Analyst (Estimator) to work within our Airport Business Operations team.
This position is on site with the Airport Operations Department located in Palmdale, CA.
Under general supervision with on-going review, this position is responsible for analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business processing systems.
Assists in defining system requirements/estimates and business cases for technology developments.
Determines system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
Performs activities which involve the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.
DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Represents business unit with project management and end users, and may represent business unit with customers.
Develops and coordinates business and user requirement specifications.
Ensures consistency, traceability, feasibility and completeness.
Recommends process improvement.
Develops hard copy and electronic reports as required.
Utilizes analysis models, prototypes and scenarios.
May participate in the development and implementation of requirement practices and processes.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field.
May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Must have general knowledge of business process/life cycle management principles, theories and concepts and a basic understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
Must be customer focused and possess:
The ability to use independent judgment in developing solutions to a variety of non-routine problems.
Good verbal and written communications and presentations skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
Good interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers, and other external parties.
The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Good computer skills with Microsoft Suite and SAP products.
Advanced Excel experience, to include formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and report generating.
Strong attention to detail, accurate data entry, and proofreading experience.
Experience building and/or managing a relational database.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks, competing priorities, and urgent deadlines.
Desired Qualifications Prior experience with cost estimating and proposal preparation.
Prior experience with various estimating methodologies (parametric, analogous, expert judgement, etc.
).
Salary:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
