- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Implement individualized care plans and ensure the well-being and safety of residents.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for individuals to enhance their independence and quality of life.
- Promote resident rights and advocate for their needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
- Document observations, incidents, and progress notes accurately and timely.
Skills:
- Experience in patient care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices.
- Understanding of resident rights and the ability to advocate for them.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Proficient in performing basic medical tasks, such as taking vital signs.
- Experience in childcare or working with children with special needs is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of cleanliness standards and ability to maintain a clean environment.
- Basic nursing skills are desirable.
