We are looking to hire a Deburr Technician to join our Team.
Position
Summary:
Level three bench grinders/deburr operators work without supervision to perform deburr operations on parts of all levels of complexity and all types of materials.
Level three bench grinders will be able to use all applicable deburr media and tools on a variety of materials.
They will also demonstrate a high level of skill in print reading and knowledge of customer specifications.
Level three operators will also perform rework operations.
Additionally, they will be expected to provide assistance and training to lower level employees.
Level three deburr operators will also help develop new deburr operation process for new parts.
This is an advanced position that typically requires 5-7 years of experience.
Primary Duties &
Responsibilities:
Finishing all materials to close tolerance and examining surface of workpiece for defects.
Securing workpiece to bench or table and guides abrasive polishing wheel over workpiece to remove scratches and other defects from metal surfaces to the specification.
Selects correct grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives and condition of metal to attach to grinder.
Required Skills:
Advanced print reading Ability to read & interpret plans, work order, blueprints or drawings to determine the necessary bench operations Extensive knowledge of using handtools, power tools and abrasives for deburring Ability to use measuring tools and examine parts for defects Position requires the ability to lift 40 lbs.
Required
Experience:
5-7 years of experience preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment Level of Education:
GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
